The black-tie optional 2013 Pineapple Ball, set for Friday, April 19, 7pm to midnight, at the fabulous Garden City Hotel, is co-chaired by Joanne K. Adams and Michael Ventre, and will honor the following most deserving recipients:

Garden City Chamber & Foundation

Incorporated in 1926, the Chamber moved Garden City's historic Long Island Motor Parkway Toll Lodge to 230 Seventh Street where it became the Chamber's permanent home.

The Garden City Chamber of Commerce has nearly 400 members and is the largest Chamber of Commerce on Long Island. And, it is one of the most innovative and successful community chambers throughout the State of New York. 

Of particular note, the Chamber's Foundation was founded to assist community members in need and to award scholarships to deservingGarden City High School Students.

The Chamber:

  * Acts as an information and referral service, answering hundreds of nation-wide requests for information about Garden City and its businesses.
 

* Sponsors community programs and special events attracting thousands of visitors to the Village.
  * Sponsors luncheon programs featuring prominent business leaders and speakers such as County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi, Representative Carolyn McCarthy and Economist Pearl Kamer.
  * Publishes the annual Garden City Community Guide and Calendar of Events (the only such guide on Long Island).
  *  Publishes the quarterly Business Bulletin Magizine.
  * Holds seasonal After-Hours Networking Events for members and potential members.
 

* Hosts the Annual Pineapple Ball at the Garden City Hotel
